I don't usually post this because I believe, if you take proper care of yourself, your body will gain what it needs to, and that will be a different amount for each woman. Pregnancy is hard enough, and comparing how much someone else has gained to how much you've gained is a pointless added stresser. I'm gaining weight, probably every day at this point, and am embracing it #moretolove.
During the first trimester I couldn't stand the sight of ice cream, or anything sweet (that was a sad time in my life), and now I'm back to enjoying my sweet thangs, in moderation obvs. Thinking back to my pregnancy with Piper and the foods I craved, it's almost been the exact same. I don't know if that's because those food just sound good to me when I'm nauseous, or if I'm having another girl. Who knoooows. Either way, I wouldn't say there are any major cravings right now.
Going to the bathroom 1000x a day. I wake up and have to go every night, which is a little annoying because I also have pregnancy insomnia, so when I wake up it takes me a while to go back to sleep. Thank goodness for One Tree Hill. That's really the only thing I can think of. I feel 100% back to normal with energy and nausea and all that. The second trimester is the bomb!
It changes day-to-day, so it's hard to say! Some days I have a big bump and I look 6 months pregnant, and other days there is nothing. It does always get progressively bigger as the day goes on, but I definitely haven't popped yet. Still just in a super awkward phase where I'm not ready for maternity clothes, but all my clothes are getting pretty tight around my stomach. I just look like I have a giant food baby.
Workouts are AWESOME! It feels amazing to be able to workout normally again. I tried my hardest during the first trimester, but I was so sick that I think I only managed 5 workouts total (other than walking). If you're in that stage, IT GETS BETTER! Hang in there. I'm teaching spin classes 2x a week again, along with subbing in for classes here and there, which has been so nice! I love spin and it always feel so good on my body during pregnancy. **PS: I'm still posting on the "pregnancy workout log" HERE.
We find out the gender NEXT WEEK!! I go back and forth between what I think the gender is, but I don't feel strongly one way or the other. This pregnancy has been so similar to Piper's in a few ways, but also so different, so that's not much help. We have a few names that we like for each gender, but I don't like choosing or telling until the baby actually arrives. I can't wait to find out and start buying alllll the cute baby clothes!!
