HOW FAR ALONG: Exactly 12 weeks today! Little babe is the size of a lime (from head to butt). I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is already going. I swear I was just barely 6 weeks pregnant!
WEIGHT GAIN: We had our first OBGYN appointment last week and I have gained 2lbs total. I think with Piper I gained around 5lbs during the first trimester, so we'll see how the rest of this pregnancy plays out!
BEST MOMENT OF THE WEEK: Finally going to the doctor and actually seeing our baby on the ultrasound. It's surreal to see that there's an actual little baby in there just swimming around! It already looks like a perfect little baby and it's so relieving to know everything is okay in there.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Still eggs, turkey sandwiches, and super crisp apples. I eat them every single day. Grapefruit and granola are new ones this week.
FOOD AVERSIONS: It still depends on the day and how things smell to me (what's with this stupid heightened sense of smell??), but onions are the worst things still. I really never know until after I've eaten something. So that's a good time.
SYMPTOMS: Nausea is still always there, but some days it's manageable, and others I just feel so terrible. The nights are always when I feel the worst, no matter what. In the evenings my stomach hurts SO bad. I wouldn't call it cramps, but my stomach just feels really tender, and it's like a bad stomach ache? I don't know if this is common, but I had it with Piper too. For the most part though, throwing up all day every day seems to be slowly going away. I'm still feeling completely insane. I'm much more sensitive, or "touchy" as Jordan likes to call it. Everything seems to bother me 100x more than it normally would. Oh well. At least I'm not the one who has to deal with me haha. My lower back started aching a bit this weekend, but it goes away when I exercise. That's pretty much it!
BABY BUMP: I still just feel thicker, but no distinct bump. By the end of the day, I look about 5 months pregnant though haha. I just get SOOO bloated as the day goes on. The top of my belly button has started to stick out like it did when I was newly pregnant with Piper too.
WORKOUTS: Still mostly walking, except that's getting so much harder to do because Arizona is HOT now, and it's already 90 degrees by 8am. We found a gym here and signed up for gym passes, so since I'm not throwing up all day long anymore, I can hopefully find the energy to start going again.
