Well, we all survived the first month! I don’t know if I’m more surprised that Piper is still alive, or if we are. Either way, we’re celebrating big time over here!!
As of last week, Piper weighs 8 lbs 10 oz and is 21.25 inches tall. She weighed 7lbs 5 oz when she was born so the Doctor said she must be eating like a pig haha. Rude. But yes, yes she is.
She really is the chillest baby ever though! She is soooo mellow and only fusses when she’s ready to eat (she and I have that in common). She loves listening to music and chillin like a villan in the bath. She’s finally getting the hang of sleeping and usually sleeps 5-6 hour stretches in the night (recently it’s been 7 hours so I’m hoping that continues!!). I’m trying to think of things she doesn’t like but I really can’t. She’s so calm and happy. Anddd I’m probably jinxing myself by saying this so I’m going to stop now.
My recovery has been harder than I thought it would. I guess I wasn’t expecting to be in labour and “actively” pushing for so long so I’m sure that made things harder haha. I’m finally feeling back to myself (physically and emotionally) and my body seems to be bouncing back well. I’m definitely still softer in some areas, but I’m trying not to worry about that as I know things will continue to get better as I start exercising again. Next week is my 6 week PP appointment so I should be cleared to exercise then!! Hip hip hurray!!!!
