Friday Favourites

HAPPY FRIDAYY! We don't have any big plans for this weekend, but I kind of love that. Although there's no "weekend off parenting" (there really should be), it's so much nicer having Jordan around more and spending time together as a family.

It's been a minute since I've done one of these thangs, so here's a few things that I've been super into lately. Workouts, recipes, baby stuff, health hacks...it's all there really.

PREGNANCY WORKOUT GUIDE!!

Okay well, duh. Obviously my new pregnancy guide (located under the "shop" tab) is going to make it on the list. I have been completely blown away by the support of this release. I am SO excited and proud of it, and feel so lucky to be able to share something I'm so passionate about with others. It contains safe and effective workouts for all trimesters (multiple full body, lower body, upper body, and core workouts for each trimester). It's designed for women who feel lost on how to safely exercise throughout pregnancy, and it's my hope that it helps women feel strong, confident, and healthy. You can get it HERE!

LEMON APPLE CIDER WATER:

People often refer to this as a "detox" drink, but I hate that word because I think it has a bad connotation, BUT this mixture of ingredients has a lot of great benefits! Apple cider vinegar is full of of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. It's awesome for gut health (a health gut = a healthy body), balances PH levels, and cleanses the system. Make sure it's raw and unfiltered vinegar, because filtering, pasteurizing and processing kills all of the good stuff. Lemon aids in digestion and detoxification, and cayenne pepper is great for boosting metabolism, also digestion, and increasing blood circulation.

If this is a bit...much for you at first, try adding in more warm water and a little raw honey (regular honey has been processed that all of the benefits are lost). I've been drinking this every morning and I look forward to it now!

CHOCOLATE CHIP COLLAGEN PANCAKES

I plan to do an entire post about collagen because this shiz is MONEY! But until then, trust me. Better yet, do your own research! Read about it from credible sources and I guarantee you'll start adding it into your diet. I get mine from Vital Proteins because it is unflavoured and dissolves into anything. Lately, I've been on a protein pancake kick (hello, Kodiak Cakes), and have been added a scoop of collagen into the batter, along with Enjoy Life chocolate chips because...well you know. This combo is amazing!

  • 1/2 cup Kodiak Cakes
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins collagen peptides
  • 1/3 cup water
  • small handful of Enjoy Life

Add natural peanut butter (my favourite is Crazy Richards), chia seeds, and berries on top!

CUDDLE + KIND:

I posted this picture on my Instagram last week, and I still go back and look at it because I can't get over her. I never would have thought I'd have a blue eyed baby (mine are dark, dark green), but she has these huge bright blue eyes and I love them. Enough about Piper, this is about the company Cuddle + Kind. They donate 10 nutritious meals to children in need for every doll sold. On top of that, the dolls are made by Peruvian women which I love. I got Piper Sadie the fox, and she is so, so cute! She stays in Piper's crib, and I often hear Piper chatting to her when she wakes up. I love companies who work to make a difference in the world. On top of that, their stuff is high quality and so adorable. I'm a fan.
