I'm writing this on Saturday because I know I'll be in the labour and delivery room on Monday! Ahhh! Even though I would prefer going into labour completely naturally, it's kind of nice having a scheduled induction because I know FOR SURE when we're going to meet our baby!!! They'll be giving me a drug to get me nice and dilated on Sunday night, so by Monday morning I should be ready to be fully induced and have my water broken! They think she'll arrive by late afternoon/early evening on Monday (if all goes to plan). Holla!!!
Little lady has had the hiccups non-stop this week! Especially late at night when I go to bed. I'm not sure what her deal is haha, but it's the cutest thing ever and I can't wait to see her hiccup in real life! She's still very active and has quite the fascination with my ribs, it would seem.
Braxton hicks allllll the time! Some of them are pretty uncomfortable and wake me up in the night, but when they're not uncomfortable I think they're pretty cool! Since I haven't dilated at all up to this point, it's nice knowing that my body is kind of getting ready for labour with those fake contractions! The only other thing I can think of is a LOT of joint and pelvic pain! Yowza!! I've had some pain before, but it hasn't been as consistent and as painful as it's been this week. My hips, pelvis, and lower back having been killing me. Again, it's a good sign that my body is getting ready for labour and things are progressing so I'm not complaining!
I'm so grateful that I've been able to exercise right up until my delivery! I know some women aren't able to do that, so I'm grateful I haven't had many issues preventing me from staying active. My workouts were pretty good up until about mid-week when I began having those joint pains I mentioned. I really didn't want to push it too much so I've stuck with long walks, prenatal yoga, and deep stretching!
I can't believe she is going to be here Monday night!!! Gahhhh. I can't imagine what it'll be like it in my head so it's hard to think that I'm really going to have a baby. This pregnancy has flown by! I mean, it hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows (my husband can attest to that haha), but I've just loved this experience! I am so proud of my body for what it's done and I'm so excited for this next chapter of our lives! Baby girl, we're ready for you (I think)!!
