I had my appointment with the specialist on Thursday which was fun because I got to have another ultrasound! He weighs just over 6lbs and the doctor said he should be around 8lbs when he's born (I knew he'd be bigger than Piper - she was 7lbs 5 oz). He's already head down and in position for birth! Thanks for being so prepared, baby! He looked absolutely perfect, and the doctor could already see all his hair flowing around in the amniotic fluid! I'll be switching to a different type of blood thinner shots starting today, which is reversible (unlike the one I've been on so far), so if I suddenly go into labour, or have to have an emergency C-section it won't kill me haha. Phew. She confirmed they aren't going to induce me anymore, like originally planned, but I'm hoping I still have him early even though I probably won't (what pregnant woman doesn't hope for that ha). Even though it's obviously better to go into labour naturally, I did love knowing exactly when I'd be going into the hospital to have him...now it's all a big old waiting game!
No more heartburn, thank goodness! I only had it twice last week, so I can't really complain there. I have felt SOOO tired this week. More than I ever have in my life. My energy has been pretty decent, considering how far along I am, but these past couple of days have been a reeeeal struggle. I turn into a complete zombie around 2pm, and I feel like a bad mum because I really can't do anything but lay on the floor in Piper's room while she plays around me (and usually on top of me). I'm a fairly go-go-go type of person, so it's been hard to have to take it down a level. I've felt super hungry too! I can feel my stomach stretching a LOT right now, so I think baby boy is going through a massive final growth spurt!
Just everything and anything!
We went to Disneyland this week with Jordan's family, and the day after I felt like my pelvic floor was on fire haha. I was so sore! Yep, just from walking all day haha. With the overall exhaustion, I've found it a big struggle to workout this week, so my exercises haven't been amazing, but I still go on walks every morning with Piper, and do 3-4 weight training workouts (mostly from my Pregnancy Workout Guide), even if it's a short circuit. I feel so much better when I do! My workouts are still all logged in HERE.
I can't believe how close we are to meeting our little guy! I always say that, and probably will say it 1000 more times before he comes, but it's so surreal!! It's still crazy that there's really a little baby inside of me! I feel him move, and see him on ultrasounds and stuff, but it never truly hits me until the baby actually comes out! I feel my body slowing down and preparing for the grand finale, which makes day-to-day life more challenging, obviously, but it also gets me excited! So many exclamation points, but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
